Fully Funded PhD and MSc Positions – AI Technologies for Structural Timber Design
Qualifications of the Applicant:
- Must hold or are expected to obtain a Bachelor’s degree (for MSc applicants) or Master’s degree (for PhD applicants) in a relevant discipline (e.g., civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, applied math, etc.).
- Meet the minimum requirements set by the University of Alberta.
- Fascinated by problem-solving, exploring, and creating new knowledge.
- Should be highly motivated, well organized, and passionate about research, with good communication skills in English.
- The applicant should have a strong desire to conduct transformational research in close collaboration with the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research independently or in a team.
- Excellent skills in programming are required.
- Experience in paper writing and publishing is an asset.
- Experience in machine/deep learning algorithms is an asset.
- Experience in timber structural design is an asset.
